Consolidated Edison Inc. Statement Concerning Its Merger With Northeast Utilities

NEW YORK, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Con Edison is reviewing the prospects for the merger in light of changes in Northeast Utilities' businesses that have occurred since the merger agreement and that impact their future prospects.
