Con Edison Urges Customers to Think Green for Arbor Day
e*bill Is Company's Tree-Friendly Billing Option
NEW YORK, NY, Apr 25, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) -- As New Yorkers celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, April 27, Con Edison (NYSE: ED) is doing its part to save trees by promoting a paperless way for customers to pay their utility bill.

"Arbor Day is a good day to choose our paperless billing option, e*bill," said Marilyn Caselli, senior vice president of Customer Operations. "It's an easy way to cut down on paper consumption and save trees by opting to receive and pay your bills electronically."

The Con Edison e*bill program is a fast, convenient and environmentally friendly payment option in which customers can receive, view and pay bills online. Each month, Con Edison notifies customers via e-mail when bills are ready for viewing. Switching to e*bill is easy. Visit www.coned.com/customercentral/paybyebill.asp to learn how to "leaf" your paper Con Edison bill behind.

Arbor Day is a nationwide "tree-appreciation day."
