NEW YORK, Nov. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) was recently named Regional Corporation of the Year by the New York/New Jersey Minority Purchasing Council, Inc. This is the third consecutive year that Con Edison has been honored by the Council. The company received the award at a ceremony at the Times Square Marriott Marquis.

"Con Edison's commitment to increasing the inclusion of minority and women-owned businesses has spanned more than 20 years and continues to grow," said Carole Sobin, vice president of purchasing for Con Edison.
