Con Edison Announces Executive Appointment

NEW YORK, July 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) announced today that Stephen F. Wood has been named vice president of engineering services in the company's electric operations organization. He will be responsible for 'customer relationships, marketing and sales, electric engineering, and facilities support for Con Edison's electric distribution system, as well as coordinating storm outage restoration.

Donohue, senior vice president of electric operations for Con Edison.

Wood, 48, comes to Con Edison from the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BG&E), which he joined in 1976, and where he served in positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he was vice president of electric transmission and distribution, responsible for all aspects of planning, constructing, operating and maintaining the electric distribution, substation and transmission systems.

Prior to that position, Wood was president and chief executive officer of Constellation Energy Projects & Service, Inc., an unregulated affiliate of BG&E, where he was responsible for initial start up, development and management of a highly diversified, multi-million dollar business consisting of four operating entities.

Previously at BG&E, he was vice president of marketing and sales, as well as having managed major customer projects, system engineering and construction, distribution engineering, and corporate transportation.

Wood holds a master of business administration degree in marketing and finance from Loyola College of Maryland, a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He resides in Manhattan, with his wife Joy and daughter Amy.
